Program Objectives

At the end of the plan study of master in pure mathematics student will be able to:
  • Increase student's self-confidence in conducting research independently or within a team.
  • Enhance students’ abilities in using technology efficiently for conducting research and in their professional practices through seminars or conferences.
  • Introduce the fundamentals of mathematics theories to the students and strengthen the student’s logical and analytical ability to deal with the generality and abstraction of mathematical principles.
  • Develop independent learning skills and transferable skills among the students.

  • Provide students with advanced mathematical knowledge and skills that prepare them to pursue further studies.
  • Develop the student's ability to understand, formulate, and deduce mathematical proofs and written it properly.
  • Provide students the basics of teamwork, self-development, work ethic, and personal and social responsibility.
  • Providing students with research capabilities for effective participation in specialized scientific projects and workshops.




Graduate Attributes

Holders of a master degree in pure mathematics should demonstrate the following:
  • Thorough understanding of theory, research and recent developments at the forefront of pure mathematics and of the implications of those developments.
  •  Familiarity with and ability to use advanced techniques of research and inquiry in pure mathematics and to use those techniques in carrying out a significant research or professional project.
  • Ability to synthesize and apply the results of research and new developments in pure mathematics, in analyzing, developing and testing hypotheses, and proposing solutions to theoretical and practical problems.
  •  Ability to communicate the results of advanced study and research through refereed publications to academic, professional and community audiences.
